A sustainable heating solution
At Optiklimaat we provided a detached house with a sustainable and reliable heating solution using the Itho Daalderop HP-S 95 air-to-water heat pump. The home, with a floor area of 156 m², is now prepared for an energy-efficient and future-proof way of heating.
Former situation
The home was heated with a Vaillant Solide HR boiler, combined with an 80 litre cylinder heated by the central heating boiler. The entire house had underfloor heating, connected to a high-temperature manifold. Although the system worked well, it was fully gas-fired and therefore less sustainable
New installation
To make the home more sustainable while guaranteeing comfort and certainty, the following setup was chosen:
- Filters: various filters protect the system from dirt and particles.
- Pipework and delta-T control: the pipe diameters are designed to match the correct delta-T control, ensuring optimal efficiency.
- Buffer tank: a buffer tank has been installed. Although not strictly necessary in the current setup, it allows for future system adjustments and ensures sufficient system volume at all times.
- Outdoor unit: the unit is positioned to allow the evaporator to draw in sufficient air and is installed at the correct height to prevent freezing.
- Insulation and finishing: the pipework is fully insulated and additionally protected with a PVC covering. For a clean finish, the rainwater drainage (RWP) has been strategically integrated for an aesthetically pleasing result.
Result
The detached house now has a sustainable, energy-efficient and reliable heating system. The chosen setup offers:
- comfortable heating with underfloor heating;
- extra certainty thanks to the 24 kW electric back-up;
- stable operation thanks to the buffer vessel;
- protection of the system and longer lifespan thanks to the magnetic filter;
- a clear and easily accessible technical space in the basement.
With this solution, the home has taken a major step towards sustainable living, with maximum certainty and without compromising on comfort.
